Travel from Denver through Boulder and Lyons into the heart of the Rockies, explore alpine lakes and scenic overlooks, and drive Trail Ridge Road before descending into Estes for an overnight stay.
Designed for both relaxed travelers and active guests alike, this two-day experience offers optional hiking and outdoor activities alongside expert-guided sightseeing through some of Colorado’s most breathtaking mountain landscapes.
SUNDAY
• Denver Departure – 8:00 AM | Begin your journey from Denver and travel north through Boulder into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
• Lyons Scenic Drive | Pass through the charming mountain town of Lyons as the route follows winding canyons and dramatic mountain landscapes.
• Lily Lake Stop | Enjoy a short lakeside walk with beautiful alpine views and an opportunity to acclimate to the elevation.
• Estes Park Arrival & Check-In | Arrive in Estes Park and check into your selected accommodations before heading into Rocky Mountain National Park.
• Afternoon in Rocky Mountain National Park
Choose between a guided hike in the Bear Lake area or relaxed sightseeing with scenic stops and short walks throughout the park.
• Evening in Estes Park | Dinner on your own with optional activities including horseback riding, fly fishing, ATV tours, wildlife viewing, shopping, or relaxing at your hotel.
MONDAY
• Trail Ridge Road Scenic Drive | Travel along the famous “Highway to the Sky,” one of the most scenic drives in North America.
• Alpine Visitor Center – 11,796 Ft | Stop above treeline for sweeping views of alpine tundra, snow-capped peaks, and the Continental Divide.
• Grand Lake Stop | Explore Colorado’s largest natural lake and enjoy free time in the historic mountain town.
• Choose Your Experience | Optional guided hiking near Grand Lake or free time for kayaking, paddleboarding, boat tours, lakeside walks, shopping, or relaxing on your own.
• Return to Denver | Enjoy the scenic drive back through the Rockies with arrival in Denver in the late afternoon.

• From November to April, waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Wool socks are also recommended.
