Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP):
The Rocky Mountain National Park is an hour and a half from Denver with an array of rivers and lakes to explore. The beauty of the RMNP, is that you are able to explore a lot of different water in one day. This would consist of fishing multiple creeks and lakes in one day. The species that can be found in the park are Brown trout, Rainbow trout, Brook trout, and cutthroat trout. The scenery is absolutely spectacular, as is the fishing. Given that these creeks are not controlled by dams, the fishery is wild and seasonal; meaning that you need to match the hatch, and work for you fish.
Located two and a half hours south of Denver, the Arkansas river is renowned for its immense population of trout, especially Brown trout. The one thing that makes this river so special is the amount of hatches that occur. You can fish year round from a boat or the banks, with mainly midges in the winter and stoneflies and caddis in the spring and summer. We have a mile of private water where the fish don’t receive the constant pressure from numerous anglers.
The assigned guide will reach out to you to touch base about your trip details and your requirements. You will be picked up by one of our guides either in Denver or Boulder depending on your location. We will make our way to the body of water you choose. Once at the water, you will gear up and get a little introduction about the surroundings and the techniques of fly fishing that you will be using during your guided trip. After four hours of fishing, you will be provided with a snack and a beverage; and once done, you will be driven back to where you need to go.
