Being properly prepared for your Colorado adventure trip will ensure you maximize the experience without worrying about forgetting an essential item. Each our of adventure tours will have a more detailed list tailored for each unique experience, but here’s a general list of what we recommend to outfit yourself with for your Colorado guided trip.
- Light hiking shoes or sneakers
- Camera
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses, chapstick, and hat
- Waterproof jacket/clothes
- Wear layers so that you can shed them if you are hot and bundle up if you are cold.
- Bring a bottle of water per person. We typically have water refills available in our guide vehicles. Colorado is a very dry state and altitude can amplify hydration needs.
- Any required medications or medical supplies

Q: Where do the tours start?
A: Most of our Denver area tours meet at in front of Denver’s Union Station – 1701 Wynkoop Street, by the large American flag pole by the curbside. Check the park, fly fishing and rafting tour pages for details on where they start.
Q: Can you pick me up?
A: Yes! Please speak to our customer service representative when booking over the phone or call in after booking online to discuss private pick up options.
Q: How big are the tour groups?
A: Our group tours do not exceed 14 guests. However, if you require a larger group, you can book a private tour for up to 400 passengers.
Q: Do we eat on the tours?
A: We provide a picnic lunch for FULL DAY tours. If you have any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, etc) please make a notation in your order or give us a call. For more prescriptive dietary needs, you might consider bringing your own food.
Q: What are the age limits for tours?
A: There is a minimum age requirement of 8 years old for most outdoor tours. There is no age requirement of Private Tours. However, you will have to provide infant car seats. We do have a few booster seats available if needed.
Q: What if I need to cancel my booking?
A: We get it – things happen. For a full refund, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. You can transfer your purchase to someone else anytime, just notify us by e-mail/phone. If you have booked a tour through an online travel company, please check their policy. Private Tours have a 72 hour cancellation policy.
